Belkin's wasting no time in getting iPhone accessories out to the masses. The company announced several cases and accessories, included an Acrylic Case with a kickstand to prop up your iPhone while you watch videos. For the athletic types there's the Belkin Sport Armband and for those who like to keep it sleek there's Belkin's Slim-Fit Case. 
Logitech just unleashed its latest webcams, including the QuickCam Pro for Notebooks. The new QuickCam is capable of recording high-def (720P) video and has several premium features, that make it an excellent deal at $99. 
Fujitsu's getting into the external portable storage game with a 300GB 2.5-inch drive. Billed as the world's highest capacity portable hard drive to date, the Fujitsu External Hard Disk Drive comes with backup and encryption software. 
AT&T is offering some of its home and small business broadband subscribers free access to nearly 10,000 WiFi hot spots. This is great news for iPhone owners who are frustrated with AT&T's slow EDGE network as long as they also subscribe to one of AT&T's 3.0Mbps or faster DSL plans. New and existing customers will be able to use WiFi at airports, McDonalds, Barnes and Noble and many sporting venues. 
Toshiba expanded its line of Qosmio F45 AV entertainment notebooks with three configurations today. The new configurations feature Dolby Home Theater technology, Intel Turbo Memory and a DVD SuperMulti drive with Labelflash. Users can chose between a single 200GB or dual 120GB hard drives. 
Gateway's updated its line of convertible notebooks, aiming them directly at graphic artists and students. This 14-inch tablet features Wacom digital pen technology and Intel Core 2 Duo processors. 
I picked up an 8GB iPhone Friday night from the Apple store in San Francisco. I'm very impressed with it so far, but hope Apple improves a few things over time. At $600, the iPhone costs more than many budget notebooks. Users should be 100% sure that the iPhone is for them before making such an investment. 
David Pogue of the New York Times posted an entertaining video of his experience with his iPhone. Like others who've spent time with the iPhone, he dislikes AT&T's slow EDGE data network, the sealed battery and lack of an expansion card slot. He does like the interface and apps, especially Google Maps. 
Toshiba's now selling notebooks with AMD technology for the first time since 2000. The new Satellite A215 series of 15.4-inch consumer notebooks features AMD dual-core processors and graphics, generous hard drive capacities and several multimedia features. 
Dell's all-new XPS m1330 is now available for order. The sleek 13.3-inch widescreen notebook is available with a choice of black, white and red lids. Weighing in at just under four pounds, the XPS m1330 is a lightweight powerhouse. 
Samsung's the first company to begin mass producing 64GB solid state drives (SSD) in a 1.8-inch form factor. This brings us one step closer to seeing ultramobiles and notebooks actually ship with a decent-sized SSD. Sony, Samsung and others are hoping users will pay a steep premium for these drives. 
Apple's posted a guided tour of the iPhone on its web site today. The 20-minute long video runs through each of the iPhone's applications. 
If you want a multi-touch display right now you've either have to go really big (Microsoft's Surface) or really small (Apple's iPhone). But in the future, a new form of multi-touch technology may come to mainstream notebooks. 
Logtiech announced the Alto Express and Alto Connect notebook stands today. Both are stylish and designed to improve users' comfort and posture. The Alto Connect is more robust and features a built-in USB hub and cord management. 
Toshiba announced several entertainment upgrades to its Satellite and Qosmio notebooks. The Satellite P205, Satellite and Qosmio F45 will get HD DVD readers, while the Qosmio G45 will be the first notebook available in the U.S. with a HD DVD burner. Qosmio and Satellite X205 notebooks will include Dolby Home Theater, while the Satellite U305, Satellite A215, Satellite A205, Satellite P205, and Satellite M205 will feature Dolby Sound Room technology. 
Just when we thought all the battery recall madness was over, Gateway's voluntary recalling 14,000 lithium-ion batteries that shipped with the Gatewayy 400VTX and 450ROG series notebooks. The company says that under certain conditions, these battery packs can overheat and create a potential fire hazard. The affected battery packs were shipped between May 2003 to August 2003 in the United States. 
Lenovo's finally giving full details on the ThinkPad Reserve Edition notebook, a X61s ThinkPad clad in premium handcrafted leather. The ThinkPad Reserve Edition is available in limited quantities and by invitation only for $5,000. This notebook comes with executive-level service and support. 
We always get a kick out of concept notebooks and the Compenion is no exception. Designed by Felix Schmidberger, the Compenion has dual touchscreen displays and multiple docks, including a home-theater dock with built-in projector. Very interesting concept and OEMs should definitely start exploring more daring designs. 
Many Lenovo customers who have ordered ThinkPad T61 notebooks are experiencing shipping delays and are growing frustrated with how the company is dealing with the problem. Customers who placed orders last month received notifications that their notebooks would not ship until August.
