AT&T Offers Free WiFi to its Broadband Subscribers

AT&T logoAT&T is offering some of its home and small business broadband subscribers free access to nearly 10,000 WiFi hot spots. This is great news for iPhone owners who are frustrated with AT&T’s slow EDGE network as long as they also subscribe to one of AT&T’s 3.0Mbps or faster DSL plans. New and existing customers will be able to use WiFi at airports, McDonalds, Barnes and Noble and many sporting venues.

“Consumers are increasingly demanding anytime, anywhere connectivity, and AT&T is uniquely able to deliver on their need for mobility, whether it’s broadband or wireless services,” said Rick Welday, chief marketing officer, AT&T Consumer.

This is a great move by AT&T, and will give notebook users even more freedom to work and play where and when they want.
