ASUS EeePad Transformer Tablet and Laptop All in One Announced at CES 2011

At CES 2011 in Las Vegas today ASUS announced the ASUS EeePad Transformer Laptop which is both a tablet and a laptop all in one device running Android Honeycomb.

The EePad Transformer has a NVIDIA Tegra 2 Dual core processor and ASUS is claiming that the EeePad Transformer will get up to 16 hours of battery life, providing more than an all day computing experience.

The EeePad Transformer carries like a laptop, but can be taken apart leaving you with a tablet that has a 10.1″ 1280×800 capacitive touch screen IPS wide angle display with a depth of .51″.

There are two cameras, a 1.2MP video conferencing camera on the front and a 5MP autofocus camera on teh rear. The EeePad Transformer has Wireless n, HDMI, Bluetooth, USB and a built in card reader. The device will support 1080P content playback and Adobe Flash 10.1.

The ASUS EeePad Transformer will start at $399 and go up to $699 with availability coming in April 2011.
