How to install Windows 7
Starting October 22nd, many people will start the process of upgrading from previous versions of Windows to Windows 7 RTM. After spending a long while with Windows 7 as my main OS since January 7th, I am excited about this major release that introduces many benefits to daily experiences on the PC at home and work. I want to take a look at installing Windows 7 and I will also be doing an Upgrade Story in a future post, just to get an idea of what its like. Let's get started!

HP's introduced the Pavilion dv3500t, the company's first 13.3-inch notebook. HP was nice enough to give me an early preview of the dv3500t about a month ago and I liked what I saw. Dell officially launched the Latitude XT Tablet PC, its first foray into tablet computing. The Latitude XT has a 12.1-inch touchscreen display and is tailored for mobile professionals. The Latitude XT can be configured with a 64GB solid state drive and an extended battery that provides up to 9.5 hours of runtime.
Dell's getting ready to refresh part of the Inspiron line. The Inspiron 1525 (Intel) will replace the Inspiron 1520, while the Inspiron 1526 (AMD) will replace the Inspiron 1521. Thee 1524 will have an optoinal Blu-ray disc reader.

Costco is selling the HP Pavilion dv6623cl-b notebook for $799.99 the weekend after Thanksgiving. Starting on Black Friday, Costco members can use a $100 coupon to reduce the normal $899 price tag.
Best Buy is discounting the Toshiba Satellite P205-S7402 by $200 on Black Friday. This 17-inch notebook is the only Black Friday one we've found so far that includes a HD DVD drive.
