How to install Windows 7

Starting October 22nd, many people will start the process of upgrading from previous versions of Windows to Windows 7 RTM. After spending a long while with Windows 7 as my main OS since January 7th, I am excited about this major release that introduces many benefits to daily experiences on the PC at home and work. I want to take a look at installing Windows 7 and I will also be doing an Upgrade Story in a future post, just to get an idea of what its like. Let's get started!

Toshiba Portégé A605 Notebook Introduced

Toshiba's introduced the Portégé A605 notebook, a lightweight consumer notebook that borrows some features from the Portege R500 , but isn't quite as thin or light. The Portege A605 does have some sweet features, including an aluminum enclosure and 6.9 hours of battery life.

HP Pavilion dv3500t: HP's First 13.3-inch Notebook

HP's introduced the Pavilion dv3500t, the company's first 13.3-inch notebook. HP was nice enough to give me an early preview of the dv3500t about a month ago and I liked what I saw. The Pavilion dv3500t is very similar to its bigger brothers, the dv4 and dv5, but it has a couple of features that I really like.

Envy 133 Redefines Voodoo, Luxury Notebooks (video w/ Rahul Sood)

HP's completely overhauled the Voodoo notebook line, dumping its brawny gaming notebooks in favor of the Envy 133, an uber-stylish 13.3-inch notebook with an all-carbon fiber chassis. The Envy 133 is just .70-inch thick, taking the "world''s thinnest notebook" crown away from Apple''s MacBook Air, which measures .76-inch at its thickest point.

Dell Inspiron 1525 and Inspiron 1526 Coming Soon
