MacBook Air Gets Faster Graphics, Bigger Drives

Apple's updated the MacBook Air with bigger drives and improved graphics. The MacBook Air now comes standard with a 120GB hard drive, rather than the 80GB drive found in previous models. A 128GB sollid state drive is now available on the $2,499 version of the MacBook Air.

Apple to Replace Faulty NVIDIA GPUs in MacBook Pros

Apple's announced that some of its MacBook Pros have faulty NVIDIA graphics chips and that it will repair affected computers free of charge, even for those out of warranty. This summer, bad NVIDIA GeForcce 8600M GT graphics processors caused Dell and HP to issue recalls.

Apple's hosting a press event in San Francisco on Tuesday Oct. 14 to announce its new line of MacBooks and MacBook Pros. Apple is expected to replace the MacBook's plastic shell with an aluminum casing similar to the current MacBook Pro's.

Sony VAIO SR Series Notebook: Breast Cancer Awareness Bundle

October is breast cancer awareness month and Sony is doing its part to raise awareness and funds for the cause. Sony's offering a pink version of its SR series notebook and bundling it with a matching pink case and bluetooth mouse for $1,499 . A portion of the sales of the pink notebook bundle will go to the Breast Cancer Research Fund.
