The MacBook Air is simply the best laptop I’ve ever used. I picked up a new 13″ MacBook Air a couple of weeks ago and am reviewing it in long format over at GottaBeMobile.com.
My new MacBook Air has all the goodies: 4GB of RAM, the 256GB SSD and the 2.13GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor. I’ve used dozens of laptops over the years and I’ve never been as impressed with one. It’s an absolute joy to use.
The new MacBook Air is beating all of my expectations, but it’s not perfect. The biggest problem with the new MacBook Air is its price. That’s why I mentioned that it’s like driving a Mercedes. Very nice, but very expensive. The $999 just gets you in the door. If you want a good amount of storage capacity and extra memory you’ll have to pay dearly for it.
So far, I’ve used the MacBook Air as my primary machine for a couple of weeks and as my travel companion during a cross-country trip.
