HP's Philip McKiney showed off a prototype of its ebook reader last week at the HP Mobillity Summit in Shangha. HP Labs is trying to make flipping through eBooks and photo albums as intuitive as reading a book. Continue reading to see the video. 
Philip McKiney, CTO of HP's Personal Systems Group, gave notebooks.com a demo of Web Signs, a prototype location based service (LBS). The system combines a digital compass with a GPS-enabled PocketPC to search the web by pointing the device at any location. It's an innovative way to search for information without text.

Lenovo's getting ready to give the X60 notebook and X60 tablet some Santa Rosa love. According to some internal docs, the new X61 models will run on Intel Core 2 Duo processors, Intel GMA X3100 graphics and have draft 802.11n wireless connectivity. 
HP's introducing two cheap notebooks, the HP 530 GH645AT for consumers and the HP 530 GH640AT for home business users. These notebooks will be available at office stores and brick and mortar retailers everywhere.
