Microsoft released Windows 7 Release Candidate (RC) for testing today. Anyone that’s interested in trying out Windows 7 download the operating system from Microsoft here.
You should only install Windows 7 (RC) if you are comfortable with troubleshooting problems yourself and learning from other testers. Microsoft isn’t providing tech support and there’s no telling what problems your notebook will have running Windows 7 RC. If possible, you should install Windows 7 on a secondary notebook.
Windows 7 RC is available in both 32-bit and 64-bit flavors. English, German, Japanese, French, and Spanish versions are available. You have until the end of July to grab your copy. The operating system will be fully functional through Marc 1, 2010. After that it will begin shutting down every two hours. Windows 7 RC will expire completely on June 1, 2010.
