Sprint and Linksys to Offer EVDO/802.11g Router

All of you paying $59 per month for your notebook computer’s Sprint EVDO cards will be able to create hotspots anywhere thanks to a Linksys router being launched later this year. With speed and coverage upgrades planned over the next two years, it may be feasible to make Sprint EVDO your primary ISP for home and while on the road. For business trips, you can set up a hotspot in your hotel suite for your team instead of each paying for in-room access. For the uber geeks, you could even rig the router to work in your car, so can share one connection and work on the way to work. Google is already using something similar to this on their employee shuttles. Sprint’s so-called wireless broadband service is still slow and spotty in many areas, so don’t rush out to cancel your cable or DSL broadband quite yet.
