HP is boasting that the EliteBook 2560p is a unique notebook in its class as it is one of the few to combine an optical drive in an ultra-portable 12.5-inch form factor targeted at enterprise customers.

HP EliteBook 2560P Quick Specs

Like the EliteBook 2760p Tablet PC, the 2560p model is also powered by either a second-generation Intel (Sandy Bridge) Core i5 or i7 CPU with Intel vPro and Turbo Boost 2.0 Technology, which will make IT departments happy. The machines now feature a 2.5 mm hard drive or SSD.

The HP EliteBook 2560p features the company’s new FORGE design, which is similar to that on the ProBook 5330m or the recently announced mobile workstations. The EliteBook 2560p weighs just 3.68 pounds.

While the system comes with the latest in Intel technology, it is also built to withstand the elements. The Military Standard 810G-rated machine is rated for vibration, altitude, dust, humidity, high temperature, and minor spills.
