Dell Latitude E5520 Business Class Laptop Details and Specs

The Dell Latitude E5520 laptop is a 15.6″ business class notebook that was just refreshed as part of the Dell Latitude E Family of laptops in San Francisco today. The Latitude E5520 is joined as a budget friendly business class laptop by a smaller Latitude E5420. Both of these notebooks are designed to be used on your desk or on the go with durability and security options that businesses will like.

Dell Latitude E5520 Processor and Graphics Options:

The Latitude E5520 will make use of the latest Intel 2nd Generation Core i family of processors and the integrated graphics which are part of the updated processor line. The new integrated graphics provide a better experience than with past Intel processors. The  E5520 can handle up to 8GB of RAM and has numerous hard drive options including encrypted and solid state.

Dell Latitude E5520 Durability Features:

From a durability standpoint the Latitude E5520 is ready to handle the hazards of office work with a spill resistant keyboard, powder coated scratch resistant base and a Tri-Metal body. Steel hinges and an LCD seal round out the durability features on the E5520.

Dell Latitude E5520 Usability and Battery Options:

The Dell Latitude E5520 can be configured with a backlit keyboard and optional webcam for maximum on the go productivity and users will appreciate the dedicated number pad that sits to the right of the full size keyboard. There are several battery options ranging up to several 9-cell choices including a 3 year warranty 87Wh battery and a 97Whr battery as well. There are also options for connecting to several mobile broadband providers.Finally, the screen will recline 180 degrees, offering flexibility in finding just the right angle to work at.

Dell Latitude E5520 Security Options:

From a security standpoint the Dell Latitude E5520 can be locked down and protected with the Dell Data Protection tools and your data is protected from falls with the integrated hard drive freefall sensor. Additionally there are options for fingerprint and contactless smart card access and the option to lock down ports to prevent data leaks.
