Acer Aspire One AO721 and AO521 Netbooks Updated

The Acer Aspire One AO721 and Aspire One AO521 netbooks were updated today to include AMD Athlon II Neo K125 processors and ATI Radeon HD4225 graphics to provide netbook users with a portable device that also has some power to it.

The Acer Aspire One 721 is an 11.6″ netbook that offers a 16.9″ display with a 1366 x 768 resolution. It provides users with a full size keyboard, is less than an inch thick and weighs a little over 3 pounds. In addition to the Athlon II Neo processor it also has a 250GB hard drive and 2GB DDR3 RAM. The Acer Aspire One 721 runs Windows 7 Home Premium and claims up to six hours of battery life.

The Acer Aspire One 521 is a 10.1″ AMD powered netbook that is under an inch thick and wights around 2.75 pounds. The Acer Aspire One 521 comes with a 160GB hard drive and 1 GB DDR3 Ram. It runs Windows 7 Starter and claims up to six hours of battery life.

Both of these notebooks will be avialable in the U.S. by the end of October. The Acer Aspire One 721 retails for $429 and the Acer Aspire One 521 retails for $349. It appears that some stores are already stocking them.
