Apple released a new ‘Get a Mac’ ad that portrays a woman shopping for a computer. As she states her requirements, several dull PC guys are dismissed while the Mac guy smirks. All of the PCs walk away when she states she wants a computer that doesn’t have a ton of headaches, leaving her with the Mac guy.

If she’s looking for a computer without viruses or security vulnerabilities, every computer needs to be dismissed.

Macs are attacked less because it’s such a tiny market share. However, Macs have the most number of security vulnerabilities and they are the easiest to hack http://blogs.zdnet.com/security/?p=2941. The Mac is like a home in a good neighborhood with little to no security. The PC is like a home with the best security (with metal bars in the windows) in a bad neighborhood. The PC is much harder to break in but more people try. The reality is that most PC owners don’t have a problem with viruses (even if they’re not running anti-virus) and if they do get them, it’s because they did something they shouldn’t have.
