Today Google Announced Zeitgeist 2010: How the world searched, a look at the way we all searched in 2010 including the top terms, fastest rising overall and the fastest rising search terms in consumer electronics.
Not surprisingly Apple’s iPad took the number two spot overall, losing out only to Chatroulette which assuredly had a boost thanks to evening news stories warning of the dangers of random connections. In the consumer electronics results the iPad takes number one with the iPhone 4 rolling in at number two. Phones, wireless charging, apps, tethering and Otterbox cases round out the rest of the fastest rising tech search terms in 2010.
It’s pretty impressive to see the iPad up there, as it signals a continued growing interest in mobile computing among the masses. It’s not really surprising that we don’t see a single laptop ranking in the top ten as on the Windows side there are so many models that it would be quite the achievement if one cracked the top 10; especially when you consider all the models that make up one model (thanks to the -1234WM after the base model).
You can click on any of the search terms below to see the Google Trend for the term and be sure to check out the Zeitgeist 2010: Year in Review video embedded below.
