Gateway’s New UltraPortable & New Intel Chip

Gateway is rolling out its first ultraportable notebook in three years and itâ€â„¢s the first to use the Intel Centrino Ultra Low Voltage processor. Thereâ€â„¢s no official word on the exact specs of the Centrino ULV, but we are expecting to hear more shortly.

The 12.1â€ÂÃƒâ€šÃ‚weighs only 3.15 pounds, with an office version (e-100M) and a home/SMB edition NX100X . The NX100X comes with an external DVD-R/RW, but is a $199 add-on for the E-100M.  Both include a 6-1 media reader and  are upgradeable to 100GB HDD’s.

The only thing that bugs me off the bat about this one is bluetooth isn’t standard.
