The consumer-oriented dv4 features HP CoolSense 2.0 to help keep the laptop cool, Dolby Home Theater support with Altec Lansing speakers, and HP TrueVision HD webcam. HP Pavilion dv4 Hands On Video

With HP CoolSense 2.0, the HP Pavilion dv4 can sense whether you’re using the laptop on your desk or on your lap to adjust the cooling accordingly. This way, the laptop will be optimized for either environments, depending on your usage, and you won’t end up with scorched legs if you’re using the dv4 on your lap. The HP Pavilion dv4 will also feature HP SimplePass 2 which allows you to take better control of your passwords, though we hope the service gets greater adoption from banks and stores.

HP Pavilion dv4 Pricing and Availability

The Pavilion dv4 is available in the U.S. starting on May 18th starting at $599.99.

It’s a 14″ display. They didn’t offer an official resolution, but I would be surprised if it was anything other than 1366 x 768.
