ASUS just added the P30A to its line of business notebooks. The P30A has a 13.3" 16:9 aspect ration display, up to a 320GB 7200RPM hard drive and optional WiMax. Its powered by a 1.4GHz INtel Core Duo processor, which should help get some decent run time out of its four-cell battery. The P30A weighs in at just 3.3 pounds and is worth a look if you're in the market for a thin and light notebook. 
For some users, a standard notebook isn't even an option and a notebook that can stand up to cold and wet conditions is necessary. The Panasonic ToughBook CF19 is one such notebook and the folks at ArborMetrics Solution use it to keep in contact with headquarters while they help keep trees away from power lines amongst other tasks. 
HP's announced that its EliteBook 6930p business notebook will have up to a 24-hour runtime thanks to energy saving components and a 12-cell ultracapacity battery. I spoke with Jeremy Brody from HP, who filled me in on exactly how this is accomplished. 
HP's introduced the EliteBook 2530p, a thin and light 12-inch business notebook that can be configured with dual hard drives and either ULV or LV processors. I sat down with HP's Kyle Thorton to take a close look at the 2530p last week. 
Lenovo's introduced the ThinkPad X301, which is replacing the X300. The ThinkPad X301 is about 20% faster than the previous model and can be configured with a 128GB solid state drive, which is double the original storage capacity.

HP's new EliteBook 8730w is a performance powerhouse with a drop-dead gorgeous 17-inch display. The DreamColor display (optional) is capable of 16,000,000 colors and is incredibly life-like compared to standard business notebook fare. 
Lenovo's making a serious first-splash into the mobile workstation market with the ThinkPad W700, a 17-inch workstation that can be configured with an integrated Wacom digitizer and an integrated color calibration system. The ThinkPad W700 is an impressive piece of engineering and offers the notebook market some much-needed innovation. 
Lenovo officially introduced the ThinkPad X200 today, but was kind enough to send me an early review unit last week. The X200 is Lenovo's new 12-inch business notebook and it's been a joy to use for the past few days. The X200 has a starting price of just $1,199, making it an excellent value for anyone who needs a fully-capable notebook that can get them through a full work day. 
Michael Dell demoed the new Latitude XT Tablet at Oracle's OpenWorld conference today. The Dell Latitude XT is the thinnest 12.1-inch convertible notebook and has a multi-touch display. 
Panasonic unveiled its 7 Series Toughbooks, built to withstand the bumps and drops of corporate life. The series includes the new T7 tablet, ultraportable W7 and the Y7, all of which way in at 3.7 pounds or less. 
Dell's introduced the Precision M2300 notebook, the company's first 14-inch widescreen workstation. It's is a professional-grade notebook with fast components, including an optional solid state drive. Designed for balanced mobility, the 14-inch form factor is great for professionals who need power in a small package. 
Fujitsu introduced the LifeBook S7211, a moderately priced notebook for small and medium-size businesses. Starting at $899, the LifeBook S7211 features a 14.1-inch widescreen display, modular drive bay and spill resistant keyboard. 
Toshiba's relaunching the Satellite Pro line with the introduction of the A200 and A210. The Toshiba Tecra and Portege lines are the real deal for pros, but the Satellite Pro line is worth a look if you're on a tight budget. 
HP announced two budget business notebooks today for small businesses. The Compaq 6720s and 6820s are optimized for price and feature a silver lid, a deviation from the company’s standard dark-gray exteriors. 
HP's new business tablet is now shipping. The all-new 2710p has a slick aluminum case, a look that the rest of the Compaq business notebooks may adopt in the future. An auxilliary battery and DVD burner can be stacked to this slim tablet. 
Lenovo is now selling the T61p, a workstation version of its popular T61 series notebook. The T61p, a 15.4-inch widescreen ThinkPad, is Lenovo's most powerful notebook and to date, yet runs cooler, quieter and more energy efficient than previous models. The new ThinkPad series features the latest Centrino Pro processors, NVIDIA Quadro FX graphics and an optional Ultra-Wideband (UWB) wireless card to connect to wireless printers, cameras and other devices. 
Lenovo's finally giving full details on the ThinkPad Reserve Edition notebook, a X61s ThinkPad clad in premium handcrafted leather. The ThinkPad Reserve Edition is available in limited quantities and by invitation only for $5,000. This notebook comes with executive-level service and support.
