It looks like one of the earliest iPad cases with a built in keyboard is finally available for sale direct from the manufacturer for $99 for a limited time, after which it will jump up to $149. The ClamCase iPad case with built in keyboard isn’t the folio style case we’ve seen from many other manufacturers, instead it basically turns your iPad into a netbook.
The ClamCase iPad case with keyboard offers a chiclet style keyboard that connects to your iPad over Bluetooth. The case closes on your iPad to protect ti while you are carrying it around, can open up to use like a standard netbook and can open further to use as a stand for holding your iPad in portrait mode and finally open it even further to hold the iPad in landscape mode with the keyboard facing down to the rear.
The case charges with a mini USB cable when connected to your computer or with an adapter sold separately. The battery is rated for 90 hours use and 100 days standby.
