Sprint to Allow Wireless Plan Changes Without Renewing Your Contract

Sprint LogoSprint’s going to be a little gentler on its customers. Starting on November 12, customers will be able switch to a new rate plan without having to sign up for another two years of service.

“Giving our customers a superior experience is our first priority,” said Bob Johnson, chief service officer at Sprint. “We are introducing programs to reward our customers and show our appreciation for their business. Rewarding their loyalty is a first step in gaining their trust.”

Sprint says it will begin prorating its early termination fees in 2008 and calling customers to warn them if they go way over their minutes.

Props to Spint for promising better customer service, but shouldn’t they’ve always been working on ‘gaining our trust’?
