Lenovo, Thinkpads Coming to a Best Buy Near You

Best Buy, the largest consumer electronics retailer in North America, will sell Lenovo Computers this year. The electronics superstore will sell the consumer grade Lenovo 3000 series notebooks and the business minded Thinkpads. The stores already stock Hewlett Packard, Gateway and eMachines brands.

This news comes on the heels of an announcement that Best Buy will eliminate virtually all mail-in rebates for computers and peripherals, meaning you won’t have to fork over hundreds of dollars more than the advertised prices and forget to mail in your rebate forms like I always do. Believe it or not I just got a postcard today from Best Buy rejecting a $100 rebate for a Linksys VOIP router I recently purchased. “While we appreciate your”…blah,blah….”The postmark is outside the rebate period” BY 1 DAY!!!
