CES: Samsung’s 3D HDTV’s are thin and impressive
AT CES today Samsung announced a partnership with Technicolor and Dreamwork Studios to bring 3D HDTV into your living room in 2010. The new 3D TVs from Samsung which were announced today include the ability to convert 2D broadcasts into 3D so that you don’t have to wait for your favorite programs to go 3D and this also means that you’ll be able to play your existing video games in 3D on the new TV’s from Samsung.
After the press conference we were able to get a short hands on with the new 3d TVs which come in LED, LCD and Plasma varieties which you can watch below.
I was impressed with the Samsung 3D experience and, in the brief demo I had, felt that it equaled the theater 3D experience.

That demo was not converted to 3D via the TV. It is the 3D bonus feature that comes with the Monsters vs. Aliens Blu ray Disc. I would be interested to see how the 2D to 3D conversion looks.
