Toughbook notebooks are known for their no compromise ruggedness and durability, and the newest addition is no different. The Panasonic Toughbook S10 is a business rugged 12.1″ notebook that weighs in at just three pounds and even includes a DVD drive.
Inside the Toughbook S10 you’ll find an Intel Core i5 VPro processor clocked at 2.5GHz, 4 to 8GB RAM and a 320GB hard drive. The 12.1″ display offers a 1280×800 resolution and comes with an anti-glare screen treatment so you can read the display outdoors or in harsh lighting.
The S10 includes optional Gobi wireless connectivity, WiFi and Bluetooth 2.1 as well as HDMI and VGA connectivity.
In addition to the standard portable notebook flair, the Toughbook S10 packs a DVD drive into the notebook by popping up a tray in the palmrest.
While the notebook only weighs in at 3 pounds it packs in quite a lot, including a standard battery rated for over 12 hours of use. Even if this is cut by several hours in real life, which is normally the case, you should be left with a full day of work.
Panasonic Toughbook Durability
This Toughbook isn’t designed to be pulled behind a snowmobile, but it is business rugged. This means Panasonic has tested the notebook out under harsh conditions to ensure that it won’t fail from accidents and drops that take a lesser notebook out of commission.
