Bigfoot Killer WiFi Coming to Notebooks Near You

For gamers looking for the optimum performance Bigfoot has been a go to brand on the desktop, and now mobile gamers can be on the lookout for a Killer Wireless N adapter for notebooks. The Bigfoot networks Killer Wireless N adapters use the 802.11N standard, like other adapters, but according to Bigfoot the new Killer Wireless N 1103 and 1102 Mini-PCIe adapters can deliver five times the performance.

Gamers aren’t the only ones who could benefit from the faster WiFi performance, video calling and video watching should also improve given the speeds of 450mbps and 300mbps on the 1103 and 1102 Killer Wireless N notebook adapters. Bigfoot networks CEO Michael Howse explains in the press release.

“Popular online applications like gaming, Voice over IP (VoIP) and HD video are some of the most sensitive to latency and packet loss over Wi-Fi connections,” said Bigfoot Networks CEO Michael Howse. “With our innovative networking technology and advanced 802.11n hardware, Killer Wireless-N adapters not only accelerate performance for online games, they also reduce stuttering, excessive buffering and other annoyances in video chat and on-demand entertainment services. You can watch Internet TV, listen to streaming music or play a first-person shooter while downloading a huge e-mail attachment, and not miss a thing. It’s a powerful new online experience for notebook users.”

With improvements in speed and optimizations for gaming and video we can’t wait to see what a WiFi connection like this would do for Gaming with Onlive. We recently tested out OnLive gaming on the Mac with a wired connection, but would love the freedom of wireless.

Killer Wireless N Features:
