Samsung Introduces New Netbooks with Intel N450 Processors

With CES just a day away Samsung has announced their new netbooks that will be on display at the show in Las Vegas and available to consumers soon. These new netbooks feature the new Intel Atom N450 “PineTrail” processor that will give consumers better battery life and additional performance over the Atom processors found in current netbooks.

The new Samsung Netbooks include:

  • Samsung N210
  • Samsung N220
  • Samsung N150
  • Samsung NB30

These new netbooks all feature a 10.1″ screen with anti reflective coating that will be appreciated by any mobile computing users who find themselves trying to get work done outside and long battery life as well. According to the press release the N210 and N220 scored 12 hours of battery life; the N150 achieved 8.5 hours and the NB30 lasted 11.5 when tested with BatteryMark.

These netbooks also come with a resolution manager to help users quickly adjust the screens resolution for programs that work better on a 1024 x 768 display.

The Samsung N210 and N220 come equipped with Phoenix Technologies’ FailSafe software for locating your computer if it is lost or stolen as well as the Instant On OS called HyperSpace that will let users get working faster. Finally, both of these netbooks come with AnyPC remote control software allowing users to quickly and securely connect with their office or home PC.

Additionally, the NB30 is a considered a more durable netbook and comes equipped with software that can detect a fall and lock your hard drive before impact to minimize damage.

These netbooks will be available in early January, detailed specs and pricing have not been announced yet.
