Acer Recalls 22,000 Notebooks
Acer announced a recall of several notebook models due to an overheating issue. This voluntarily recall is going to impact around 22,000 laptops. As per CPSC (Consumer Product Safety Commission) this overhearing is caused by a defect in the microphone wire to the palm rest, which can short circuit under preasure.
European consumers had already been notified about this issue in October and now company is planning to extend this recall offer in US too. The recalled notebook computer models are the Acer AS3410, AS3410T, AS3810T, AS3810TG, AS3810TZ and AS3810TZG.
As per CPSC (Consumer Product Safety Commission) recommendations, consumers should stop using the recalled laptop immediately and contact Acer via 1 (866) 695-2237 or visit Acer’s website for more information. Alternatively you can also visit Acer’s voluntary Safety Recall page and fill out a form.
