Dell's expanding its line of consumer notebooks with the Inspiron 13, an affordable 13-inch notebook that will start at just $699. The Dell Inspiron 13 weighs just under five pounds and is a welcome addition to the Inspiron lineup.

Lenovo officially introduced the ThinkPad X200 today, but was kind enough to send me an early review unit last week. The Fresno United School District has ordered 7,000 HP Mini-Notes for students. The HP Mini Note 2133 was designed specifically for the education market and this is the first of many school districts we'll hear about working HP's tiny notebook into their lesson plans.
