He is the founder of ForMortals.com and a senior analyst at ITIF.org, a think tank based out of Washington D.C. He recently served as technical director and editor at large for TechRepublic and ZDNet, where he published the Real World IT blog.
Before working as a journalist and analyst, he worked as an IT consultant who designed and built wired network, wireless network, Internet, storage, security, and server infrastructure for various Fortune 100 companies.
