HP introduced a new line of affordable notebooks aimed at value-concious business users. The HP ProBook series will come in three sizes and start at just $529. I got a chance to sit down with Sarah Bussell, HP's business notebook product manager to take a look at the ProBook lineup and shot a quick video.
The Averatec N2700 ultraportable notebook is light in terms of weight and bloatware. Citing customer's request for notebooks without 'try-and-buy' software add-ons, Averatec's N2700 is 'back-to-the-basics.'
Belkin introduced the CushDesk, a cushion that's designed to make it more comfortable to use a notebook on your couch or in bed. Using a notebook directly on your lap can be uncomfortable and can lead to several health issues. The CushDesk raises the notebook up a couple of inches so you don't have to slouch to view the screen. It also keeps heat away from your legs. 
ASUS just added the P30A to its line of business notebooks. The P30A has a 13.3" 16:9 aspect ration display, up to a 320GB 7200RPM hard drive and optional WiMax. Its powered by a 1.4GHz INtel Core Duo processor, which should help get some decent run time out of its four-cell battery. The P30A weighs in at just 3.3 pounds and is worth a look if you're in the market for a thin and light notebook. 
HP's unveiled the Pavilion dv3t, a 13" notebook that starts at $799 before any discounts or incentives. The dv3t is built for mainstream consumers and can be customized to fit the needs of most students and home users. It can be configured with NVIDIA graphics, up to 8GB of RAM and a Blu-ray Disc drive.

Dell refreshed its Studio 15 entertainment notebook with an energy efficient 15.6" LED display and a backlit keyboard. There are three 16:9 screen-resolutions to choose from, including full 1080p. 
The HP Pavilion dv2 is an ultraportable notebook that's affordable, but has enough graphics muscle that users can enjoy video games and play Blu-ray discs. After toning done the graphics setting, I played Call of Duty Word: World at War at over 30 frames per second and recorded the below video clips. 
AMD sent over an HP Pavilion dv2 for us to evaluate and I wanted to share some photos of it and my first thoughts. The HP Pavilion dv2 fits somewhere between a premium ultraportable and a netbook, sharing some characteristics of each.
HP's next MediaSmart Server software update will enable automatic video conversion and mobile streaming. This means users will be able to playback their movies from any device in full resolution on their home network or at HP is also releasing an iPhone application so MediaSmart EX485 and EX487 owners can access their entire photo, music and video libraries from anywhere.

Acer announced the stylish Aspire Timeline notebook series today. The new line of Acer Aspire notebooks are designed to be power efficient and offer up to eight hours of battery life in a thin and light package. The series consists of a 13.3", 14" and 15.6" notebooks, which share many of the same features.
