MSI CX640 and CR640 Available for Purchase Starting at $629

MSI has just made the MSI CR640 and CX640 notebooks available for purchase in the U.S. These Sandy Bridge notebooks include NVIDIA Optimus switchable graphics and  many of the latest notebook features in a package that starts at just over $600.

MSI CR640 and MSI CX640

Both the MSI CR640 and the CX640 come with a 2.1GHz Intel 2nd Gen Core i3 processor, 4GB DDR3 RAM and a 500GB hard drive. The 15.6″ display has a 1366 x 768 resolution with a built in 1.3MP webcam. The notebooks have SRS audio for enhanced surround sound.

What sets these notebooks apart, internally, is the inclusion of a NVIDIA GeForce GT520M GPU with 1GB Video RAM on the MSI CX640. The GPU used in the CX640 includes NVIDIA Optimus technology for smart switching between the  powerful NVIDIA graphics and the integrated Intel HD 3000 graphics.

Both the MIS CR640 and CX640 come with a host of additional features to increase your usability and protect your data.
