I'm not sure how this is a good deal. I just personalized a comparible Studio XPS 16 and it came out to $1034 with a mouse added. I think the hard drive was 250GB instead of 500, but with three more inches of screen real estate, I can handle that.
Probably because of smaller size its costing more and could be because of DDR3 RAM and 7200 RPM Hard Disk.
Smaller notebooks are typically more expensive when configured similarly. Dell, HP, etc. sell them at a much lower volume.
