Fujitsu announced its first ultra-mobile PCs (UMPCs) today. Built for for business users, the U Series is the world's smallest tablet-convertible UMPC, weighing only 580g and measuring 26.5mm thick. The FMV-U8240 features a 5.6" (1024x600) widescreen display. 
HP announced the Compaq 2710p notebook, a convertible tablet that can be configured with up to three batteries. The optional expansion base features a DVD-RW drive and various ports.. A second battery can be sandwiched between the base of the tablet and the expansion base, for all-day computing.
