Acer Aspire Timeline Notebooks Introduced

The new line of Acer Aspire notebooks are designed to be power efficient and offer up to eight hours of battery life in a thin and light package. The series consists of a 13.3", 14" and 15.6" notebooks, which share many of the same features.

Acer Aspire One 11.6″ Announced

aspire_11_oneAcer introduced a new Aspire One today that features an 11.6" display. It comes with a 160GB hard drive, Intel Atom processor and a six-cell battery that's good for up to eight hours. The Acer Aspire One 11.6" supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 3G connections to keep you connected on the go.

Review: Asus Eee PC 1000HE Netbook

eee_1000he_asus_lidI've previously called the Asus 1000HE netbook one of the best values in the netbook market in terms of bang per buck but I had to try it out myself to see if it actually lives up to my expectations. For a typical street price of $375 to $399, the Asus 1000HE netbook simply can't be beat in terms of value. It is one of the best netbooks on the market at any price.

AT&T Selling $49 Netbooks, ThinkPad X200 at Select Retail Locations

att_logoAT&T announced that it is selling subsidized netbooks for between $49.99 and $349.99 with the purchase of a two-year mobile broadband contract. AT&T will also offer the Lenovo ThinkPad X200 with an integrated 3G modem for $849 with a 2-year AT&T DataConnect plan. The netbooks and ThinkPad will be available in a handful of AT&T stores in Philadelphia and Atlanta on a trial basis.

They've recorded a series of videos that show notebook buyers shopping for notebooks that meets their requirements for under $1,000. The campaign takes swipes at Apple MacBooks for being too expensive and offer PC brands as more affordable.
