Waited in line at Best Buy for one of the Toshibas but got there too late, so went over to WalMart and got pretty much the same Toshiba for $68 more (Toshiba Satellite 15.4 screen, 4GB memory, 250GB HD). I think it’s still a good deal, but I could have used an extra $68. Oh well.

Well I took advantage of a gift card sale at Belk. If you were one of the first 250 people through the door you got a FREE gift card worth at least $5. Hubby came with me so we both got one. We then took those and bought slippers. We will be giving them as part of a gift next year.

I didn’t go out shopping today. I was a awake early (as always) but the black friday lines just aren’t worth the deals. I don’t purchase many high end items during the holiday season so the deals never seem worth it to me. And the amount of time I spend waiting in line, well, if I spent that time working I could probably end up making more than I saved.

I bought 49 cent HOT WHEELS cars from Walgreens for my 5 year nephew on Black Friday. I know very exciting, but he just loves playing with cars.

Went to JCPENNEY and saw a 16pc COOK cookware set for $219 on sale. Went to lnt.con and got same exact thing for $70 bucks shipped.

Tigerdirect sucks this year. So far, I’ve gotten an HP notebook from OfficeDep, as well as a 4GB VGA card and a 16GB flash drive.

I bought a Olympus camera at Costco, not realizing it was the same sale price as always, and that Costco doesn’t do black friday savings!!! Oops. It was a great purchase anyways, and I did buy it today (black friday..)

I lucked out. At the last minute I decided to go to one store to buy a printer that was a Black Friday Special. I thought the store had opened earlier, but it opened two minutes after I got in line outside. About fifty people were ahead of me. When the doors opened I walked directly to where I knew the printer would be. It was there, only two of them were available. I picked up one and checked out!

I didn’t want to brave the scary crowds with two kids in tow….but I wanted to get out of the house. So on Black Friday I took them shopping at Goodwill, where I found my toddler the most awesome pair of shiny burgundy high-top sneakers for $2.50. Score!

Well, here I am with the stroller and an infant and I somehow got pushed to the side of the line to get in so when the doors opened I was going to get ran over (me and the baby). I was a little worried but when the lady came to open the doors she told everyone to move and let me go in first…how sweet…that just turned Black Friday into a not so black day.

I went to Walmart and bought 2 Kodak digital cameras & accesories for a great price, then to GameStop where I purchased a Wii Fit and several Nintendo DS games, and PSP movies for a steal. I was pleased with my purchases in the sense that I saved quite a bit (being that money is very tight) and was able to get my kids what they wanted, basically. However, the actual experience was horrible (lines, irate people, etc.)I am glad that it only comes around once a year.

Couldn’t resist a new Epson printer when I saw how drastically the price was discounted. I know I can get cartridges inexpensively at Costco so I think overall it was a good deal.

I did not shop on black Friday — not even on the internet. Was so darn tired from cooking, family, and baby keeping me up had hubby watching the kids while I slept in. A gift card might spark some shopping though.

Well, after failing to get to Office Depot in time for the $349 laptop, I went to Best Buy and purchased the HP Pavilion on sale for $599 with Core 2 Duo, 4GB Ram, 250GB HD, and a printer and virus software.
I am very satisfied thus far, and glad I didn’t get there in time for the cheaper option (though either would have been an improvement over my four-year old laptop).

On black friday my fiance and I bought a GPS for his dad. Two Hannah Montanna Dolls as well as a paper shredder and a red toaster for my fiance’s mom.

He got his laptop and said everything went smoothly, even the shoppers were OK, Walmart on the other hand was a nightmare, people cutting in the lines, people running through the aisles with their carts and hitting other customers, we were hit a couple of times, my son was the first to get into the video game department and while looking for a game, was shoved into the glass by people grabbing games. I was 2nd in line for the Wii and Ipod so as soon as I checked out I flew over to where the TVs were got on of those then snagged a $9 vacuum. Being first really helped. Happy Holidays everyone. I don’t like to shop at any time, and Black Friday would be the LAST day I would go out, even though I know that some bargains can be found. As an indication of the difficult times, my daughter’s company has gone under, and she was calling it Pink Friday for her staff, since they have all received figurative pink slips. She is OK, since she has already lined up another job, but she got quite upset with the liquidator, who was happily telling the staff that they would be home for Christmas (WITHOUT jobs!).

I don’t like to shop at any time, and Black Friday would be the LAST day I would go out, even though I know that some bargains can be found. As an indication of the difficult times, my daughter’s company has gone under, and she was calling it Pink Friday for her staff, since they have all received figurative pink slips. She is OK, since she has already lined up another job, but she got quite upset with the liquidator, who was happily telling the staff that they would be home for Christmas (WITHOUT jobs!).
i went to kohls got a guitar by the time i got to walmart there was abig line i decided it was not worth standing in line for anything went back later and was able to go thru peoples carts who decided the same.
I tried to avoid the madness of the malls so went to a few of the major drugstores and got some really great deals on girly stuff and small presents then went home to shop online for a new monitor and a laptop from Dell. Then I couldn’t resist a few more Black Friday deals on more girly stuff, all at really great prices. So exhausting to save so much money!

I haven’t done “Black Friday” shopping in years. The deals just aren’t nearly as good as they used to be, and it’s not worth the manic crowds. I do mostly on-line shopping now with sales, coupon codes, and free shipping. We like to celebrate Christmas the way it’s meant to be honored. So, we keep presents to a minimal.

I missed all the good deals on Black Friday. I didn’t start shopping until mid morning. I did buy webkins for my girls that were 2 for $6.99 at Walgreens.

I went in and went to the skid in the middle of the isle where the skid of camaras were located and waited til five o’clock when they would let us load our carts. A customer proceded to tell me that I couldn’t have one because she was here first, and she was going to buy a lot of them. I told her to call a manager–the manager said I could have one at five and that the bitter woman could not stop me…I’m willing to play by the rules, but not when someone just makes them up. Maybe she was going to sell them on eBay? I also picked up a memory card, a microwave, a crock pot, and a set of cookware that was not a BF special. I went back to buy some coin bank cans of Tootsie Rolls–These make great packages for the digital photo keychains loaded up with family photos for the relatives…

The last time I went shopping on Black Friday was 15 years ago. I went to Walmart and purchased an artificial Christmas tree for 25 bucks. (I sold it in a rummage sale last summer for 10..lol)

We purchased an Acer Pink Aspire One Mini Laptop PC Netbook for our oldest daughter and I am hoping we don’t end up with buyer’s remorse. Time will tell, but it is what her best friend already has so that’s what my daughter wanted…….Next year I purchase from the comfort of my home computer.
