Welcoming Amy Zunk to Notebooks.com

Amy Zunk BioNotebooks.com is pleased to welcome a new addition to the writing team, Ms. Amy Zunk.  Amy, if you’ll make your introductions:

Ms. Zunk is a seasoned veteran of the information technology industry, with over 15 years’ experience in everything from call center support to infrastructure management and ranging from small businesses through Fortune 100 enterprises.

Although she’s a devotee of the Open Source movement in general and Linux in specific, Ms. Zunk is well versed in several platforms. Aside from Linux (“Debian Potato distro r0xx0rs ‘cuz apt-get is your friend!”) system administration, she has and does work with Windows(tm) and Macintosh(tm) systems and networks, dabbles in virtualization, configures with Cisco, and has even managed to get all them to co-exist peacefully over both wired and wireless infrastructures.

A few years ago, she was a writer for such sites as: Geek.com, PDABuzz.com, Pocket PC Life, and PocketAnywhere.com.  After taking a sabbatical, she is back and working with Notebooks.com as well as GearDiary.com.   She has been a judge for the Smartphone/Pocket PC awards for 7 years running, with no intention of stopping.  She is a GadgetGrrl in all senses of the word with  her own gear list including a Mac mini, 13″ Macbook, an HP laptop or two,  an Eee PC, Blackberry Curve 8900, Garmin Nuvi 520, 1st generation iPod Touch,  and other odds and ends.

Ms. Zunk lives in Florida with her two cats, Angel and Isis. And, she is never sure which needs more watching.
