Lenovo LePad Goes Global in June for $399 to $449

Look, over there, it’s the Lenovo LePad tablet, and it’s launching globally in June for the competitive price of $399 to $449. The slate will first launch in China this March before going global. The Lenovo LePad is an Android tablet which we saw earlier this year at CES, but didn’t have any idea on when it would arrive stateside.

The LePad is a tablet part of the U1 Hybrid which was also shown off at CES 2011 this year and could offer users a compelling iPad alternative for users who want an Android slate. The specs are still being finalized, but it looks liek the 10.1″ slate will have a 1280 x 800 resolution, be powered by a 1.2GHz Snapdragon processor and weigh in at 1.6 pounds.

The global launch and pricing refers to the slate only, with no further information on pricing and availability of the dock.
