The exterior of the Plush Sleeve feel very durable and in a month of use it has no noticeable wear despite accompanying our iPad on multiple trips. The protection and cushioning comes from the memory foam pockets sewn into the sleeve to prevent any damage if you drop or bump your iPad. We didn’t do any drop testing , but the protection level is goad and we feel safe carrying the iPad around inside the sleeve without another bag.
The interior is mad of microfiber which won’t scratch your iPad and can actually keep the screen clean if you apply a bit of pressure when you pull it out of the sleeve. It’s not a replacement for a good microfiber cloth, but it will remove many fingerprints.

The Timbuk2 Plush Sleeve for the iPad is a worthwhile case that offers a good amount of flexibility, since you can keep a small folio style case on your iPad and still fit it inside, and a good deal of protection. We did find ourselves wishing for a small pull tab at one of the ends to make it easier to grab when you want to pull it out of your bookbag. There is a small loop that you could thread a keychain through, but a nice fabric pull tab would make this case perfect.
