Lenovo IdeaPad Y570d 3D Laptop Announced at CES

AT CES 2011 in Las Vegas Lenovo unveiled the IdeaPad Y570d, a robust 3D laptop designed for an immersive multimedia experience that relies on NVIDIA for 3D power and the latest Intel Core i processors.

The IdeaPad Y570d is similar to the Lenovo IdeaPad Y 470 and Y570 which were also announced today, but the other models cannot be equipped with 3D.

The Y570d comes with a pair of polarizer 3D glasses which users can put on to delve deeper into their entertainment and gaming thanks to the 3D panel and NVIDIA graphics.

The IdeaPad Y570d is abel to deliver a longer battery life thanks to the switchable graphics which users can control with the flip of a switch, jumping between the integrated Intel graphics that are part of the new Intel Core i processors and the 3D experience from NVIDIA.

There’s also an ambient light sensor to help save on battery life with automatic screen brightness adjustments.

To assist in delivering a great multimedia experience the IdeaPad Y570d comes with JBL Speakers, SRS Premium Sound and OneKey Theater which tweaks your display settings for optimal entertainment playback with the push of a button. We’ve used OneKey Theater on previous Lenovo laptops and have been impressed with the results.

Like the other Lenovo IdeaPad laptops announced at CES 2011 this week the IdeaPad Y570d also has the Lenovo Enhanced Experience 2 which delivers faster boot and shut down times as well as other system optimizations.

The IdeaPad Y570d will be available in May alongside the rest of the IdeaPad Y Series. Pricing for the series begins at $899, but no specific price was provided for the 3D equipped Y570d model.
