Lenovo Announces Lenovo G770, G570, G470, G575, G475 Laptops at CES 2011

Lenovo announced an update to the Lenovo G Series of mainstream affordable laptops aimed at consumers who want a computer with enough power to handle most household and student activities.

The updated Lenovo G series will come with processor options from AMD and Intel. The AMD option is for the AMD Fusion Brazos line of processors announced at CES this week. The Intel processor options will be made up of the Second Generation Intel Core i processor family, also announced at CES this week, up to an Intel Core i7 dual core processor.

The Lenovo G Series comes in numerous models including;

  • Lenovo G770 – 17″
  • Lenovo G570 – 15.6″
  • Lenovo G470 – 14″
  • Lenovo G575 – 15.6″
  • Lenovo G475 – 14″

All of these models support a 1366 x 768 resolution and come with Windows 7 Home Premium as well as an integrated 2.0MP webcam. The G series comes standard with a DVD drive with the option to upgrade to a Blu-Ray drive.

The Lenovo G Series comes with Lenovo Enhanced Experience 2.0 for Windows which should deliver faster startup and shutdown times as well as other optimizations for multimedia performance.

No word on the availability of the update Lenovo G Series of laptops or their availability.
