iPed: $105 iPad Knockoff Sports Android

You can’t buy an iPad in China yet, but you can buy an iPed. The iPed is an iPad knockoff that blatantly rips off the iPad’s design, packaging and user interface.

A Japanese newscast detailed the iPed (below) and it’s pretty clear that the device could pass as an iPad at first glance. The iPed has a larger bezel since its display only measures 7″ diagonally. It runs on an Intel atom processor, 128MB of RAM and has a 16GB memory module.

The iPad is on store shelves for the equivalent of $105, which is a heck of a lot cheaper than a real iPad, but still out of reach for most Chinese consumers.
