Do you understand how to make Facebook function so that none of your personal information is revealed to people or businesses you are not linked to? Neither do most people. In fact it is now so convoluted that the NY Times saw the need to map it out. And the map is more complicated than the NY City Subway system.
In recent weeks there have been leaks and a slew of high profile tech journalists jumping ship due to the concerns. You may want to give the NYT map a look and see if you are sufficiently protected. Otherwise you may just want to follow the lead of the others and get off the Facebook wagon yourself by permanently deleting your account.
