The new Lenovo IdeaPad Z360 and IdeaPad Z560 entertainment notebooks are part of the new Lenovo IdeaPad Z line, introduced this spring, and are focused on providing consumers with a rich, yet mobile, entertainment experience. Like the recently refreshed HP Pavilion line, the new Z series have a metallic lid that won’t be such a fingerprint magnet.
Both the IdeaPad Z360 and the IdeaPad Z560 are powered by Intel processors (up to the Intel Core i7-620M) and have a 16:9 display. The IdeaPad Z360 has a 13.3†HD display and the IdeaPad Z560 has a 15.6†HD display; both running at 1366×768. Both of these new notebooks come with a chiclet style keyboard, metallic effect†lid, the option for a Blu-Ray drive, Dolby Advanced Audio and a OneKey Theater II setting that optimizes the notebook for multimedia consumption.
Judging from the images, the new Z series will share a very similar keyboard with other Lenovo machines which is great news for anyone who types more than a tweet a day!
Additionally, the IdeaPad Z line features DDR3 RAM (up to 8GB), the ability to configure with up to an NVIDIA GeForce 315M 1GB GPU and DirectShare technology for DropBox like syncing of your important files across multiple computers. Rounding out the experience is a standard plethora of ports including USB 2.0, eSATA, BlueTooth, 802.11n WiFi, a 5-in-1 card reader and a webcam.
The IdeaPad Z360 and Z560 will be available in June, along with the AMD powered IdeaPad Z565, and base models of the IdeaPad Z series start at $649.
