Toshiba’s next 13″ ultra-portable notebook is rumored to include a SCIB battery which allows it to charge at an almost ludicrous speed; from 0 to 90% in just 10 minutes. Yes, 10 minutes; as in the notebook will be almost fully charged before you can finish a coffee.

Warner at GottaBeMobile shared the news this morning with the sneak peak at the super thin notebook this morning, and since then Engadget has uncovered an additional image that includes Toshiba branding as well as some more details about the device.
Assuming this device makes it to market we are looking at a 13″ 16×9 widescreen display powered by an Intel Core i3, i5 or i7-620 processor with 4GB of memory. The device can also be configured with a 500GB hard drive or a 512GB SSD. Oh, and it also includes USB 3.0 support!
Engadget is calling this the real deal after talking with the original source, which has since pulled the more detailed information.
While I expect this to be a pricey notebook when it does arrive, I am excited about the fast charging battery technology and overall look of this ultra-portable notebook.
