We’re not talking about how well it’s selling. There are reports of the iPad overheating.
The maximum operational temperature of the iPad is 32 degrees Centigrade or 95 degrees Farenheit. according to Apple. The temperature warning reads iPad needs to cool down before you can use it†and displays a yellow warning icon with an exclamation point.
Two TUAW.com readers reported the issue, one lives in Colorado and the other in Tampa Bay.A member of the iPhone dev team responsible for jailbreaking the iPhone, posted a screenshot on Twitter of the warning message when his iPad overheated. Of course a handful of hot iPads does not make this an epidemic, but it is worth watching out for if you plan to use your iPad out in the heat.
