In our earlier article, How to track your lost or stolen Cell phone free, I showed you how to track and find your lost Windows Mobile phone, which led to many requests for a free way to track other mobile phones. After some searching, I found iTag, a free application that tracks phones running Google Android and helps owners find their phones if they are lost or stolen.
With iTag you can find your cell phone’s location and make it ring from the website; even if it is in silent or vibrate mode. iTag doesn’t only help you find your phone’s location; it also lets you lock the device remotely, delete the information, back up your data, and even send a text alert if your phone’s SIM card is replaced by a thief. iTag is currently only available in the U.S. and your phone needs to have GPS built in for location based services.
