I chatted with Greta Shlender from HP about what I’m seeing at CES 2010 on the first day of the show floor being open. By that time I’d been in Vegas for three days already and already had a chance to see a lot of the new PCs announced at the show.
As I mentioned in the video, a lot of manufacturers are introducing slates and Tablets. One thing I’m glad to see are manufacturers like HP, Lenovo and Dell adding premium finishes and higher-end components to their notebooks. The HP TouchSmart tm2, Alienware m11x and Lenovo IdeaPad U1 are a few examples.
The Alienware m11x is a true gaming notebook in a small form factor. The IdeaPad U1 is a slate computer and laptop in one. And the HP TouchSmart tm2’s exterior finish is etched aluminum rather than shiny plastic.
