Photowalking in San Francisco

Last night I went photowalking with a bunch of techies and photographers in my home town of San Francisco. It was sponsored by EyeFi and Microsoft and you can check out the group’s photos on Flickr.

I had a great time talking to some pro photographers and geeks alike. There were about 40 of us lugging around DSLRs, so we did attract some funny looks. I learned about Microsoft’s Pro Photo Community and will be watching and learning to improve my own pics.

Miss Aniela, an artist from the UK was on hand to offer up some advice and demos.

Thomas Hawk posted a bunch of pics on his blog about last night’s walk. He’s a great person to follow if you’re an aspiring digital photographer.

I took the shots on this page with my Nikon D300 and new Sigma 30mm f/1.4 lens. I applied minor lighting/color adjustments in Aperture on my 2.53GHz MacBook Pro.
