Dell Precision M6300 -Dell’s Most Powerful Mobile Worstation

Dell Precision M6300 Today Dell introduced the Precision M6300 mobile workstation for pros who need the ultimate in performance. Designed for artists, engineers and others that use demanding applications such as CAD, the M6300 is a true workhorse.

“Customers buy workstations because they need maximum performance to get a job done,” said Vivek Mohindra, vice president, Dell Product Group. “The M6300 is ideal for customers who want to run demanding professional applications no matter where they are.”

Dell says it designs and certifies Dell Precision workstations to handle the most popular professional software applications in fields such as engineering, digital content creation, scientific, finance and software development.

The Precision M6300 is available with the latest Intel Core 2 Duo and Extreme Edition processors, including the X7900, running at 2.8GHz. Graphics are handled by the NVIDIA Quadro FX1600M OpenGL GPU.

There is a choice of either a 1440×900 or 1020×1200 resolution 17-inch widescreen display.

The Precision M6300 can be configured with high performance hard drives with up 200GB capacities or a 32GB solid state drive. It can be loaded with up to 4GB of memory. A Blu-ray drive is optional.

There are a range of wireless options including Draft-N WiFi, Bluetooth and AT&T HSDPA 3G wireless broadband connection card.

Buyers can chose between a Windows XP, Vista Business or Vista Ultimate.

The Dell Precision M6300 starts at $2,109, but the add-ons can push the price for a well configured M6300 to more than $5,000.

Dell’s currently discounting the M6300 by $200, bringing the entry price to $1,909.
