HP’s Philip McKiney showed off a prototype of its ebook reader last week at the HP Mobillity Summit in Shangha. HP Labs is trying to make flipping through eBooks and photo albums as intuitive as reading a book.
There’s a very simple interface that lets users flip through pages instead of pressing buttons. I got a chance to play with one of the prototypes and while the interface is nice, I wish it had a touchscreen.
HP’s eBook reader runs on linux and will most likely have a wireless option when/if it actually comes to market.
