The LifeBook AH572 comes with one pair of 3D glasses for watching 3D Blu-Ray movies and playing 3D games.

Fujitsu LifeBook AH572 Quick Specs: The AH572 is powered by the new 2.3GHz Intel Core i5 2nd generation processor from Intel which includes TurboBoost 2.o to deliver a boost in speed up to 2.9GHz as well as WiDi 2.0 to wirelessly stream HD video to a WiDi equipped HDTV. The notebook has a 15.6″ display that can handle 3D video and has 4GB RAM and a 500GB of hard drive. There is also an integrated Blu-Ray Drive.

3D Double Duty: The LifeBook AH572 doesn’t just handle playing back your 3D media and video games, it has dual cameras built into the notebook, allowing you to record 3D video clips at your desk. This is a rather unique ability, but one that we aren’t sure of the practical application of. Unlike the Sony Bloggie 3D, the notebook is limited to recording where you take a full sized notebook, which is to say it’s not practical for many places.

Pricing and Availability: The Toshiba LifeBook AH572 is available for purchase now direct from Toshiba for a base price of $999. Right now, you can get a 500GB DISKGO portable hard drive or a COBY CAM5001 HD Camcorder for free with the purchase of the AH572.

While on the go, the AH503 GFX works on an integrated graphics solution.

The LIFEBOOK AH5530 GFX comes with Intel Core processor choices and optional Blu-Ray as well as Bluetooth and a collection of 3 USB 2.0, VGA, HDMI and is rated for 3 hours of battery life. The AH530 GFX also includes a spill resistant keyboard.

Without the external GPU the 15.6″ notebook weighs about 5.5 pounds which is about on par with many other 15.6″ notebooks. No price has been announced, but it will be interesting to see how it stacks up to competing models with switchable graphics solutions that offer similar power.

The Fujitsu M2010 is geared towards students from K-12 and mobile professionals, but can it distinguish itself from the myriad of other netbooks out there?

The M2010 runs an Intel Atom N270 processor, up to 2GB of RAM, and 160GB HDD. If these specs sound familiar, it’s because those specs are now standard fare for netbook-class devices. 3 USB slots are provided, 802.11 b/g wireless local area network and bluetooth connectivity, and the netbook can boot into Windows XP in 50 seconds. The device also comes with a 3-cell battery providing up to 2.5 hours of run time. Pricing is pegged at $449 and is available now at Fujitsu’s e-store.

The T2010 features a LED-backlit display, Intel Core 2 Duo Ultra Low Voltage processor and optional 32GB solid state drive.

Built for business, the T2010 has several secutity features, including an integrated fingerprint scanner, Smart Card slot and trusted platform module (TPM).

The T2010 can be configured with up to 4GB of memory and 120GB hard drive. Those looking for the ultimate in reliability should opt for the 32GB solid state drive, assuming all you need is your business applications and documents. Small SSDs won’t cut it for many business users, so if SSD is a requirement you might want to hold off until October or November, when many manufacturers will be announcing 64GB solid state drive options.

The T2010′s six-cell battery will provide up to nine hours of runtime while an optional nine-cell battery will last up to 11 hours. There’s no built in optical drive, but one is included with an optional docking station.

The T2010 can be configured with either Windows Vista Business edition or Windows XP Tablet PC edition.

Fujitsu’s web site lists T2010 starting at $1,599 with a basic configuration.

“The Fujitsu UMPC combines Fujitsu’s systems expertise with Intel’s low power processor and chipset,” said Anand Chandrasekher, Senior VP Intel Corp and GM Ultra Mobility Group. “The emerging UMPC category delivers the functionality of the PC and full Internet to users who are constantly on the go in ultra light and small form factors.”

Fujitsy says the U series battery will power the tiny tablet for up to eight hours. The U Series comes with extensive security features, including a security chip and fingerprint scanner. The FMV-U8240 will be available in Japan starting in June, with Vista versions following in July. No word on wider availability.

We’d like to see a larger hard drive, especially considering the size of a Vista Business install. It’ll also be interesting to see if the FMV-U8240 will be able to last anywhere near the claimed 8-hours, which is about what’s needed for a workday away from the office or a cross-country flight.

As of today, the LifeBook P1610 and LifeBook B6210 are now available with either 16GB or 32GB SSDs.
The 2.2-pound LifeBook P1610 convertible touch screen notebook and 3.2-pound LifeBook B6210 touch screen notebook are now offered with two flash-based SSD configurations, 16 GB or 32 GB. SSDs offer lower power consumption, added ruggedness, high reliability, and improved performance.
“On-your-feet workers need to protect their tools without interfering with the product’s usability or adding significant cost,” said Paul Moore, senior director of mobile product marketing, Fujitsu Computer Systems. “By offering SSDs along with rugged cases, Fujitsu provides a superior solution for environments where rough handling of notebooks is inherent in the workplace.”
In addition to providing better durability and data protection than traditional hard disk drives, SSDs are quiet and generate less heat. The 16GB drive will cost $700, and the 32GB will cost about $1,200, pretty severe no matter how you look at it. Fujitsu will still offer up 80GB rotational hard drives with the LifeBook P1610 and Lifebook 6210.
Fujitsu also introduced a rugged case (pictured above) to protect these tiny notebooks.
