CompUSA will sell the mid-level White MacBook for $1234.99 after discount, a $65 savings. This MacBook has 2GB of RAM, 120GB hard drive, DVD burner and iSight webcam. CompUSA is still advertising the older 2.16MHz White MacBook on its site, but hopefully it will have the new 2.2GHz version in stock by Black Friday.

You can forget about getting a ridiculously good deal on a MacBook or MacBook Pro a a big-box retailer during the holidays. It’s nice that CompUSA is discounting these Macs, but you can get a better deal on both models any day of the year at MacMall, or at the Apple clearance store. MacMall discounts new MacBook Pros by as much as $150. Apple takes up to several hundred dollars off refurbished MacBook and MacBook Pro notebooks that are in like-new condition.
